ACCOUNTANT
Accountant, Forensic Fluids Laboratories, Inc., Kalamazoo, MI. Duties: Accountability for accounting entries & accuracy of QuickBooks. Work with accounting & billing assistants processing billing data & clients’ payments, ensure accurate & timely payments. Review & maintain financial statements for accuracy & completeness. Assist in accurately executing month-end accounting process completing reconciliations & journal entries & General Ledger. Prepare monthly financial reports for management presentations. Ensure adequate internal controls. Perform Accounts Receivable, End of Month & Special Request invoices & ensure invoice accuracy prepared by billing staff. Coordinate customer relations for invoice & account balance questions. Prepare documents & conduct calls with customers to collect past due balances. Collect information to assist in payroll & benefits administration. Key contact person for payroll processing provider. Maintain a chart of accounts, customer lists, customer pricing & service product codes, etc. Perform cost accounting analyses, profitability assessments by customer type & contribute, recommend, & develop reports affecting business/market decisions & controlling expenditures. Work with QuickBooks, Excel, SharePoint & Laboratory Information Management System to automate processes. Back-up for initiating, maintaining, & ensuring HR benefits administration is timely completed. Requirements: Masters degree in Accounting with coursework or experience in cost accounting plus six months experience in transactional accounting, exposure to an accounting system, and customer or vendor relations skills; or any suitable combination of education, experience, or training is acceptable; i.e. accounting bachelor’s degree plus five years progressive accounting experience. mailto:humanresources@forensicfluids.com or send CV to E.
